Ofsted visited Darwen Aldridge Sudell Primary School on the 6th and 7th October 2021 and found a transformed school where pupils achieve well because school leaders have high expectations of pupils; where pupils enjoy being at school and are greeted each morning by their kind, friendly teachers; and a place where lessons are fun and exciting. Jane Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer at Aldridge Education stated “ the Ofsted judgement for Darwen Aldridge Sudell is a testament to the transformational journey the school has undertaken in the last few years and l have no doubts from what l have seen during the inspection that they will continue on their journey to Outstanding”.

Inspectors concluded that Darwen Aldridge Sudell is a school where pupils are kind and friendly to each other and to visitors; where pupils who are new to the school are warmly welcomed and make friends quickly; where pupils behave well in lessons and around school; and a school where pupils feel safe and cared for.
